Beckett the Bone Scans

Beckett went to Children's Hospital in DC today for bone scans. We had the most wonderful nurse in the world, Joel, who encouraged us to fight the sedation order and give Beckett and a chance to do the scans without anesthesia.

So proud to say that Beckett became the youngest patient ever at Children's to complete a bone scan without sedation!!!!!! With the help of God, Beckett laid still inside of this machine, first for 15 minutes, then for a second scan that took 30 minutes. Even the technician, who did not even want to try the scan without sedation, said he had never seen a better patient! Go Beckett Go! Thank you God for the patience and the strength it took for all of us to get through this.

Beckett was initially completely inside the machine, with less than 1/4 inch between his face and the top plate.
As he slowly emerged (my hand and the tech's hand to help keep him still).

Head almost out. Once his head was clear, David held a video play above him to watch Buzz Lightyear until the rest of the scans were done.
