6 months

On November 1, 2011, Beckett woke up with a rash and knee pain.  He has had those two symptoms for 6 months now.  We have seen 2 pediatricians, a dermatologist, 2 ENT's, an opthamologist, and an orthopedist.  Beckett has had 4 blood draws in which he tested negative for Lyme Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Celiac Disease, and food allergies.  He endured a scope down his throat to look for inflammation of his vocal chords, which was also negative.  He had x-rays and bone scans done at Children's Hospital, both of which showed no problems with his bones.  The prevailing theory is that he has a very rare deviation of JRA, but he has tested negative for ANA, which is an antibody that is typically found in the blood when a child has JRA.  So in the next month, he will go see another Rheumatologist, possibly have more blood work done to test other theories, and repeat his eye tests to make sure no inflammation has developed in the last 4 months.  He remains strong, is growing very well, and will have his 3 year-old check-up soon to discuss where else we go from here.  Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
